For thirty years Robinson controlled and was, responsible for, the daily operations of Parkdale
Mills, a yarn spinner founded in 1916. Parkdale was one of the area’s first textile mills.
Robinson was known for the installation of modern training programs and his success for
recruiting young men of ability to help lead Parkdale. Today, Parkdale is the largest cotton yarn
spinner in the nation.
