Lake Mattamuskeet

Lake Mattamuskeet is located in Hyde County, North Carolina. The largest natural lake in the state, it is home to abundant species of waterfowl, fish, and mammals. Stretching 18 miles long and 7 miles wide, the lake is a true wonder and a North Carolina treasure. Lake Mattamuskeet is also home to the Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge, a 50,000 acre refuge. It is one of the most spectacular pieces of wild land in America. Those who have been there know, it is a place where time has yet to take its toll. Where bears and red wolves roam free. It’s a place where a white-tailed deer may live its whole life and never see a road or vehicle. It’s the place we are proud and humbled to represent.
